Owen and his team stepped in last Dec 2015 when we were let down by another company and rushed through our 3.5 kW installation and iBoost on our boiler so as to beat the tariff deadline. Have just had 14 Solar Panels installed by Cambridge Solar, complete with immersion heater controller. I can also monitor how much energy is generated via a handy app on my iPhone. I found the service from start to end excellent. They did a great job at talking through the different options, no hard sell and once I decided to proceed the installation was done quickly and with minimal hassle in a professional manner by all those involved. Great service and all the staff went out of their way to make sure the installation was just the way I wanted it. It's a cloudy winter day and Owen and myself have just completed the FIT forms together with all the lights on and two laptops running and the main electricity meter outside recorded that we were not using any electricity from the national grid at all! Very satisfied customer. From Owen's first visit to assisting completing Feed In Tariff forms, the Cambridge Solar team were unfailingly professional and incredibly helpful. The quote I received was competitively priced and the system recommended was appropriate to my needs. More expensive options and upgrades were available but, while the potential advantages of these were explained, there was absolutely no pressure to take these, unlike some others that I had received quotes from. The installation went smoothly, and everything was tidily installed where I wanted it, and cabling run very discretely (not visible externally), and exceeded my expectations. I have been extremely impressed by Cambridge Solar. I am actually in the PV industry myself (but something specialised call BIPV and nothing to do with residential) so I was always going to be a relatively knowledgeable customer. Cambridge Solar impressed in many ways. First they were the only among 4 local(ish) suppliers who surveyed that actually got up onto my (flat) roof to establish the specifics including exact area available (which turned out to limit me to 3Kw). The others just looked at the roof from the ground and guessed essentially. The price from Cambridge Solar was very competitive but in no way has this meant ""low quality""...In fact I know I have good quality panels and an expertly installed system. Because it was the holidays for Owens team, and because I was constrained to a certain few days, Owen ended up being involved in the installation himself. Owen and team even identified and replaced several broken tiles while on my roof - at no cost, as well as a repair to my guttering......that's beyond the call of duty and certainly indicative of the genuine attention/spirit of customer care that most companies claim - but few actually deliver I suspect. I could go on....but basically I rate these guys at 6 out of 5. They were recommended to me by a neighbour and I have already recommended Cambridge Solar to 3 other neighbours/friends in Cambridge who have become interested after finding out I was getting residential PV. It was re-assuring to see the meter, and specifically that even at 5pm with a darkish overcast cloud cover I was still generating useful amounts of power. I wish Cambridge Solar the best and have enjoyed the experience of having them work on our house.

I have a house with non-ideal East/West-facing roofs and I wanted a system split between the roofs. Owen was very helpful when fielding technical and regulatory questions during the design and evaluation phase and Cambridge Solar eventually installed a 3.68 kWp system comprising twin 8 Phono Solar panel arrays with a Fronius inverter. I found Owen to be technically knowledgeable and helpful during the evaluation process. Their installation team went about their work efficiently and with a smile, completing the installation in 3 days and the system appears to be running well. I think they are a safe pair of hands if you are considering a foray into solar energy.

Cambridge Solar delivered everything as stated. The contractors were helpful, courteous. I have just received my first FIT payment and it is more than a nearby neighbour who has a similar installation. The panels look good and I can see all my energy use and generation wherever I am. I have just, April 2015, had an array of 12 LG panels installed by Cambridge Solar. It is a 3.6 kWp system with SolarEdge inverter and the iBoost system to heat the water. What a wonderful experience throughout; from the initial visit by Owen, planning out to installation and hand over including the completion of the forms for the feed-in-tariff. I had researched the subject thoroughly and had a rough idea of what I wanted. Owen, who is extremely knowledgeable in the area of PV solar systems, shaped it into the final system and designed a very neat and nice looking package for a reasonable price. Very professional team of installers installed the whole system in 2 days. In the first day we’ve generated 25 kWh, some of which was used to give us hot water for the whole day. The system is actually performing better than some of 4 kWp system I saw previously. It was a great pleasure to do the business with Cambridge Solar! Highly recommend it to anyone who wants to dip his or her toes into the clean solar electricity!

Our Village Hall had a 12 kW system installed by Cambridge Solar over 3 years ago and I cannot speak highly enough of Owen Morgan and his team. Owen assisted in attending a meeting with our Parish Council and once agreed, he had the appropriate panels installed at short notice to maximise our return. The panels have since produced returns at a greater level than originally calculated by Owen – a good return on our investment.

We had a 9.6KW solar panel installation which was built into the roof and then the surrounding area tiled. The installers were very efficient and got the work done quickly and accurately placing the inverters in to one of the loft areas and then wiring in to the mains electricity. Since the installation it has been very reliable with only one problem when the meter stopped working. This was replaced under the guarantee with no problem. The output from this is better than the original projection and we expect it will have paid for itself in 8 years.

Owen talked through a number of possible options and provided us with all the details, then left us to decide what we wanted to do. He does not believe in high pressure sales. 16 LG Solar Panels affixed to the roof of my bungalow with a SolarEdge Inverter fitted into the loft space plus associated isolators, meter and wi-fi monitor. The System was designed, installed & commissioned very professionally by Cambridge Solar and has performed faultlessly ever since. It has reduced my electricity bills substantially since installation and in addition produces a very welcome quarterly cash return from my energy supplier. The knowledge and experience of Owen Morgan in the field of Solar generation is why I chose Cambridge Solar to install my system. They use top-end products and equipment and are very price-competitive too. The installation team are polite and courteous.

I enquired about solar panels and an appointment was made for a home visit. At this visit everything was explained and all choices discussed. At no point was I pressured into buying the panels. Once I had made my choice the work was planned and completed in a timely fashion. The workmen were very clean and tidy. During the whole process communication could not have been better.

We had a good initial interview with Owen who showed us a CAD design layout of the proposed solar panels and gave us a accurate price estimate. Installation was completed professionally. Also had a Power Reducer installed to heat hot water thereby reducing amount of excess electricity being diverted back to the grid. FiT payment and energy savings estimate were pretty accurate and we are enjoying the savings made from the solar panels as well as the quarterly cash we receive in FiT payments. The Solar panel industry has been hit hard by the sharply reduced FiT payments since January, but hopefully Cambridge Solar will be around for a long time because they are an honest and reliable company, who I am happy to recommend.

Installation of a Solar PV system, comprising of Solar Panels, Inverter, and integration into existing household electrical supply. All the works were completed and within the timeframe specified. Workman cleaned up after themselves as they went leaving things clean and tidy. The installation has proven to be exceeding the predicted generation too. We looked at a number of Solar installers before choosing Cambridge Solar based on personal recommendation and research into the technologies they offered as being best suited to our requirement.

Owen from Cambridge Solar was excellent to deal with and very knowledgeable on many technical aspects, where competitors weren't, in quoting for and specifying a domestic Solar PV installation. Even during a challenging installation his team were patient and polite and got the job completed. Any snags that were found were also dealt with promptly. I would be more than happy to recommend Cambridge Solar and happily deal with them again in the future.

We had a problem with a PV system installed by a contractor no longer in business. The system was underperforming and the installers had previously told us there was nothing wrong. I contacted Cambridge Solar by email and Owen got back to me quickly by telephone to book a site visit. He turned up on time, found the fault and fixed it within an hour. He explained what he had done and showed us the impact on our inverter-generation meter. He charged us an entirely reasonable fee for a call out visit. It may be too early to say that we are now generating as we originally expected, but I am confident that Owen has fixed our faulty installation!

It was clear from the outset that Owen Morgan runs an excellent business installing PV solar systems. An onsite visit was arranged very shortly after the initial contact and everything was explained in clear technical detail and with great enthusiasm. Unlike other companies there was no hint of pressurised selling, just straightforward facts. The installation was carried out quickly and expertly and I was struck by how well the team worked together and how tidy and efficient their work is. Had a 1.8kW system install on my mid terrace house. All very last minute to get the tariff at the time before it changed! Friendly, knowledgeable, considerate and kept us up to date pre install and during. Happy all round and have already recommended to others with equal success!!

Along with everyone else, I have to say that Owen's team were excellent. We'd given them a tight deadline to complete the installation by the March 3rd cutoff, and they did it with some days to spare. James and Robert took great care to route cables in the least obtrusive manner, and even the scaffolding team were about the friendliest bunch of contractors I've come across for a long while. Great job, and working well from day one. The system is 12 panels, rated at 2.82kWp, with a SolarEdge inverter. The power optimisers do a great job of maximising output from our two roofs facing different directions, and we are well ahead of the curve in terms of expected output.
