Prestigious Business Awards Recruit 2010 Winner to Update on Subsequent Business Successes
CAMBRIDGE, UK: Friday, November 12, 2010 – Cambridge Solar, provider of renewable energy consultancy, design and installation services, will on Monday, November 15 speak at the launch of the prestigious E-Factor Business Competition 2011. The competition, which is run by the University of East London, crowned Cambridge Solar winners of the 2010 award in March. Cambridge Solar co-founder Owen Morgan will attend the launch of this year’s award to update on company progress and also discuss the role E-Factor played in that.
The E-Factor recognises students with the most innovative business ideas and helps them achieve that business potential with a £10,000 grant. Since winning the award, Cambridge Solar has since gone on to significant success, winning new customers throughout 2010 and developing a soon to be launched renewable energy online resource.
Owen Morgan, Co-Founder at Cambridge Solar, commented: “It’ll be great to go back and be part of this year’s competition launch. E-Factor was such a huge stepping stone and that initial confidence they showed in us was a massive boost. We’ve concentrated on developing the company – transforming it from a good idea to a successful business. The result is that we have some great customers and more on the horizon. We have a new website and are developing a range of resources to help individuals and businesses in Cambridge, and across the UK, understand how they can utilise renewable energy, cutting costs and, ultimately, generating income from the feed-in tariff and renewable heat incentive. I’m excited to return to our business roots and see what new businesses are about to get the kick-start we enjoyed.”
